Learn to play sports confidently, joyfully, and safely
Over 4 days, kids start by learning about the very basics of sports science – how their muscles and bodies work – and experience this first hand as they build strong movement fundamentals, and expand their horizons through a sports elective of their choice. In the true spirit of friendship and sportsmanship, we cap off their sporting adventure with a mini-Olympic style closing ceremony that recognises and celebrates all of your achievements!

2024 camp theme: PARIS OLYMPICS!
Relive some of your favourite Paris Olympic memories with the Core section of Camp Movement! During the first half of each camp day, kids embark on a a journey to experience some of the Olympics’ most popular sports – from track and field, to soccer and volleyball – and unlock techniques to play them well. On the last day of Camp, Campers collect “sport passport stamps” as they compete in their own multi-sport mini-Olympics!
After Core, campers split up for their elective of choice. With 6 hours of elective time every camp, it’s a great chance for kids to pick up a new sport and gain enough skills to confidently take their play to the next level – or for experienced players to level up with specialist coaches at the top of their sport!

Frequently Asked Questions
As we tell kids: there are no dumb questions. If you have a question, curiosity or concern that’s not addressed here – please reach out and we’ll get back to you in a jiffy.
Who can join Camp Movement?
Camp Movement is for kids ages 4-12.
Are you able to accommodate children with particular medical and/or learning needs?
Please contact us with more details about your child’s needs so we can advise you appropriately.
Are snacks provided at camp?
While vending machines with limited snack options are available onsite, campers are encouraged to bring their own packed snacks to camp.
What should my child bring to camp?
Campers should come for camp in sports-appropriate clothing, and bring a water bottle, snacks, and sun protection. If your child has chosen the swim elective, they should bring swimsuits, goggles, a towel and change of clothes. Equipment for all other electives will be provided.
What’s the instructor:student ratio?
The instructor:student ratio is tailored to the activity and age group of participants. For kids ages 4-5, the ratio is 1:6 with the exception of swim classes where the ratio is capped at 1:4. For kids ages 6-12, the ratio is 1:8 for core modules, and capped at 1:6 for elective sessions.
How qualified are your coaches?
Coaches for core modules are full-time coaches with Sports Schooling [link], who have been certified in ISA swim instruction, trained in AED and CPR, and child safeguarding. Coaches for sports electives are instructors from Sports Schooling Centre for Movement’s resident partners who are experienced in their fields, carefully curated, and passionate about creating inspiring sports and movement experiences for kids.
Does my child need experience in the elective of their choice to join those sessions?
Not at all - all electives are open to kids with and without prior experience! We’ve designed electives so that children who are beginners can benefit from a foundational introduction to a new sport, and children who have some experience in it can level up in their skills and knowledge of it.
If my child doesn’t like the elective they signed up for, can they be transferred to another one?
Electives are designed for children to benefit from a solid introduction to a sport over the course of 6 hours, so we highly recommend that your child sticks with the same elective through 4 days of camp. That said, if your child feels strongly about changing the elective they’ve chosen, our team will be happy to accommodate their request, subject to availability.
My child joined Camp Movement previously - would returning to camp this holiday mean a repeat of the same activities?
Each season of Camp Movement is different - with different activities and themes (this Summer’s theme is Group Games!) - so your child will have a different experience each time they join us at camp. New electives this season of camp include cycling and dance, and we encourage returning campers to try out different electives each time.
Do children who ‘graduate’ from Camp Movement receive certificates?
Kids who complete Camp Movement don’t receive certificates; instead, true to the spirit of sportsmanship, they receive medals in a mini Olympic-style closing ceremony!
Can parents come and watch?
Absolutely! Parents are welcome to come and check out Camp Movement… and also make use of the gym and free wi-fi onsite at the Sports Schooling Centre for Movement. Contact us for more details!
What is the wet weather plan - will camp continue running if it rains?
Our space is equipped with both indoor and outdoor facilities, so Camp Movement can continue rain or shine! In the event of rain, outdoor activities will be shifted to our indoor spaces.
What happens if my child gets sick?
If your child is sick, we strongly encourage your child to rest and refrain from attending camp! In the event that this happens, we will try our best to accommodate your child to attend camp during another week.
Should that not be feasible, we will award you with a credit note that you can use to offset tickets for future camps or programmes at Sports Schooling Centre for Movement; or a full cash refund for the days your child was absent as long as their illness is supported with a Medical Certificate.
What if my child can’t attend all 4 days of camp?
We highly recommend kids join for the full camp, and we are unable to offer proration in fees if your child cannot attend the full camp due to schedule conflicts. Should your child be absent from camp for reasons of illness however, refunds can be made for absenteeism covered by a valid Medical Certificate.
